Sharon Hallingdal has made her living as a "professional robot" for all of her adult life. She started out as a mechanical 'first class passenger' aboard the RMS Queen Mary, as entertainment for tourists on the old cruise ship in Long Beach, CA. Later, her act evolved into "The Living Doll". This humorous, 'mechanical' character has become consistently popular at fairs, festivals and conventions all over the United States and Canada.
Sharon has been seen as "The Living Doll" on TV shows like "The Statler Brothers Show" as well as on stage and as a strolling act. She has also been seen as an "Angel Statue" in several episodes of the soap opera, "Passions".
Some of her most memorable moments as a "human robot" include a time when a teenage girl shook Sharon's hand, and then remarked, "eeewww, gross! It feels just like real skin!"
Originally from Los Angeles, Sharon lives in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband, Bruce Williams, also known as "the White Guy" of the comedy music duo "Williams & Ree".
